The “Mates” Make it Happen!
So here we are a couple of months from the U.S. Presidential election and who’s gonna win? Well, thats a discussion that could go on for hours, but something in the recent news has caused me to mabey look at politics a little differently. Recently in the down under(Australia), Conservative (former) Prime Minister John Howard has been kicked out on his can for not getting the job done!In the midsts of an environmental crisis in Australia, the people got the job done, and selected a representative that supported the environment. So who did they select? The new Prime minister, is Labor leader Kevin Rudd and has promised to sign the Kyoto Protocol on capping greenhouse gas emissions, leaving only the U.S not yet on the list.Now if this doesn’t make you want to vote, I don’t know what does. I’m not going to go on some big political rant here, but the Australian people saw a problem, and aligned themselves with a candidate that could help their environmental situation.
