5 Days Till Earth Hour

So I know that there has been an exorbitant amount of press and information for Earth Hour, but is it really possible to draw too much attention to such a great idea? I didn’t think so.Well here we are people, down to the last week before earth hour. Five days and seven hours by the time of this blog, to be exact! So just to be sure if anyone out there, and I am sure there is, does not know what Earth Hour is…well here we go!

“On 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney businesses turned off their lights for one hour – Earth Hour. If the greenhouse reduction achieved in the Sydney CBD during Earth Hour was sustained for a year, it would be equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year.Inspired by the collective effort of millions of Sydneysiders, many major global cities are joining Earth Hour in 2008, turning a symbolic event into a global movement.”

There’s no doubt this is an amazing movement that has started. If you reading about this for the first time, or the 100th time, spread the word, most easily and popularly via the Facebook group.
