Last weekend I got burnt! Sun burnt that is, and I became fully aware that yes summer is officially here but also that it seems the suns rays are getting stronger every year. So what exactly are you doing to protect yourself from getting burnt and is it having any impact on your health?
Over on ENN.com (via the Environmental Working Group) they have put together the top 10 safe sunscreens that you can use. In a good majority of today’s sunscreens, they contain either chemicals that can be harmful to your health, the environment, or just don’t provide the protection you need. So drum roll please here are the top 10:
1. Keys Soap Solar Rx Therapeutic Sunblock, SPF 30
2. Trukid Sunny Days Facestick Mineral Sunscreen UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum, SPF 30+
3. California Baby Sunblock Stick No Fragrence, SPF 30+
4. Badger Sunscreen, SPF 30
5. Marie Veronique Skin Therapy Sun Serum
6. Lavera Sunscreen Neutral, SPF 40
7. Vanicream Sunscreen, SPF 35
8. UV Natural Sunscreen, SPF 30+
9. Sun Science Sport Formula, SPF 30
10. Soleo Organics Sunscreen all natural Sunscreen, SPF 30+
So there you have it, all your excuses are useless now and there is no reason to properly protect yourself. Anyone else out there know of any sunscreens that might have been over looked?
Keep it Green,
Paul
